We’ve got some great news about the Rethink Waste school donations scheme. Launching on 6 January 2025, a brand new scheme will allow any primary school in Surrey to take part with the chance of winning £1,000 a month for three months!
To be in it to win it, schools should email their name, the name and email address of the main contact at the school, a school logo and a short paragraph (no more than 350 words) detailing an environmental project/s it would deliver on school grounds if it were to win funding to school.donations@greenredeem.co.uk
To be part of the scheme from the beginning, schools should email their project by Friday 20 December. However, schools can join the scheme at any time.
The new school donation scheme will run between 6 January and 31 March 2025. Any primary school in Surrey can take part by sending us the above information at any time. However, the earlier schools sign up, the more chance they’ll have of winning.
Once a school has signed up, it will appear on the Rethink Waste school donations page and any one of the 10,000+ Rethink Waste members in Surrey will be able to donate points that they win by completing waste reduction activities to them. At the end of each calendar month, the school with the most points will win £750 and the school with the 2nd most points will win £250.
Once schools have the money, they can use it to improve their environment.
