Community recycling centres

It is important to know if your garden waste is taken to a recycling centre by someone else they could be charged, as this is not a free service for commercial businesses, like paid gardeners.

Make sure you don’t take Japanese Knotweed to a recycling centre, as it can’t be accepted. This is an invasive plant and must be safely disposed of at an appropriately licensed landfill site. See the Government’s guidance for more details.
