Recycle Week has arrived, and this year’s theme is The Big Recycling Hunt, which spotlights the concept of ‘missed capture.’ These are the items that can be recycled but often go unnoticed in households across the nation. They’re quietly waiting to be discovered in kitchens, bathrooms, cupboards, and even within our rubbish bins.
In our fast-paced lives, we encounter many objects which can be recycled, but unfortunately, many we may overlook or simply be unaware of. But it’s incredibly important we recycle everything we can. Remember, the more you recycle, the more you can help save your local council money – freeing up funds to be spent on services that are important to you!
This is where we step in to help. Check out these resources to help you hunt down and recycle these often-forgotten items:
• Access our online search tool or download the Surrey Recycles app, both available for free.
• Browse through our hints and tips, which offer practical advice on improving your recycling habits.
• Download SEP’s comprehensive guide to ‘bossing your bins’
